Emotive emotions? ...A 101.

I think it's amazing that there are so many different emotions.

Happy, Angry, Calm, Scared, Silly, Jealousy, Content, Sad, Tired, Guilty, Blessed, Curious, Hopeful, Lonely, Irritated.

To capture a pure natural emotion is one of the greatest things you could ever capture in portraiture - It invites you into the life of the subject/ client for just one moment and lets you feel what they felt at that precise moment in time.
I want to shed some light on emotion, a lot of people are scared at the idea of capturing raw emotion, however I believe it is beautiful. Speaking as a Photographer that mainly deals with people it is important to capture real emotion, compared to that of fake smiles.

When you're constantly working with people you can't just say "smile".."be really happy" ...No, another way to approach it is to ask them to think of one of their happiest memories, Often in doing this a real and very raw emotion is brought not only to their face but is also portrayed in their body language.

Never be afraid of real emotions, Use them to your advantage and you will authentically capture your real moments, Rather then a staged moment that doesn't mean as much to you.

Also! If you decide to hire a photographer and do not like where their vision is going, or have your own ideas never be worried to speak up, you are the client and often your ideas or suggestions will mean so much more, thus = raw emotion = a higher standard of Photographs! :)

How to: 'Be Inspired'

Hello my lovely Ladies & Gents!

I love the idea of colour, sun & rain. I enjoy flowers and bare landscapes. I wish to be interesting and photograph things I love, I love the idea of capturing moments, It's so invigorating to know that you have captured a moment in time, for one split second you have stopped somebodies world and they have documentation of that? Amazing.

I know a lot of people who photograph crazy ideas or beautiful landscapes and I think that for them, That is their love. I approach Photography & clients with respect, I try to capture moments, I mean as they say "carpe diem" seize the moment.

To draw inspiration is natural & truly beautiful, and I thank the dear lord that I am here today and have been blessed with the imagination that I have...

What inspires you?

Creation..

It's always daunting having to make the first post, mark or even sometimes taking the first photograph... But that's only because it's always the one we over-think. Sometimes for just that split second we forget to create with our hearts and we let our heads take over.

How can it be so hard? All you have to do is leave a mark or perhaps press a button - I think it's because we often don't want to make mistakes or waste a beautiful blank page (...Personally, I think pages with marks are more interesting, fun.)

I do not plan on boring everyone to sleep with my analigies and posts, Just sharing some thoughts and I thought I should leave my mark on this blog, So... This is a post to ask you - what you want to see from me and to say Hi.

Happy Viewing,
Much love -

Keisha,
